Book day - Some ideas for dressing up

Book day is a great event for the kids, but maybe a headache for the parents. Fancy dress and book day provides the perfect match between education and fun. But how does the busy parent equip their love ones with the costume or accessory without breaking the bank. Well, it isn't as hard as you think. Take a look at Scarlet 'O' Hara. She's an example of a rather nice costume for under a tenner.

If by some miracle you managed to locate your child's book day letter with more than 3 hours notice of the event itself (It never happened for me but hey!) you may want to create your costume at home with you child, in which case there is always the chance to compliment your homemade masterpiece with the 'icing on the cake'. And what a masterpiece it could be with these wonderful little masks which will have your kids giggling all day with the 'press nose for noise' feature. The big bad wolf would sure sure have fun chasing these three little pigs around the playground.

This year book week is all about words and pictures. Well why not have words pictures and sound. 'C' is for cat and 'M' is for monkey and 'H' may well be the what daddy wears for the book day school run but lets not talk about that!
